Soft Wood Vs Hardwood?
Hardwood Logs are a lot denser, meaning they burn for longer. Softwood will burn quickly and give off slightly more heat but will burn approximately 10-15% faster..
What is seasoned Firewood?
Seasoned Firewood is wood that has a moisture content of 20% or below.
What size are your Logs?
Are logs are cut to an average of 9” (23cm)
What is the best way to store the Logs?
Logs can be stored inside or outside, if they are stored outside we recommend they are covered over and off the ground to keep them dry.
Do you offer a stacking service?
Yes we do offer a stacking service, this price varies on how far away you are. Please give us a ring for a quote.
What is Woodsure?
The Woodsure Ready to Burn scheme is a certification scheme for wood fuel that has a moisture content of 20% or less. The scheme is administered by Woodsure, the Defra appointed body for wood fuels.
Can I pay cash on delivery?
No, we take payment when the order is placed.
Do I need to be in when you deliver?
No, we will place the order on your driveway unless stated when the order is placed.
Do you deliver on weekends?
Unfortunately we only deliver on week days.
Where do you deliver to?
We Deliver within 10miles of Woodhall Spa for free.
